The 444.650 Millington repeater is now linked to the 147.100

The Millington UHF repeater is back on the air thanks to a grant from Superior Communications. Tim KC8OYE and Clay KF8UI installed the new Bridgecom 40 watt UHF repeater on the WOWE 98.9 tower in Millington on Sunday 8/21/16. We noted that the repeater was deaf. The repeater antenna is about 15ft below the bottom of the WOWE antenna. On Friday 8/26/16 Clay hooked a spectrum analyzer to the duplexer feed going to the receiver and found major front end overload from the WOWE signal. A DCI UHF band pass filter was installed to reduce out of band signals. This made a major difference in the receive coverage. The next step will be upgrading the repeater controller and antenna. Currently the 444.650 Millington repeater is linked to the 147 .100 Flint Twp repeater. DE KF8UI
